More Weird Dreams........

...another weird dream last night. No clue now what it was about but when I woke up this morning (once again, suddenly and very alert) I knew. But I couldn't post about it cuz I had stuff to do. You know, like shower, eat, put on makeup, get dressed, go to work, etc., kind of stuff. And get my son ready and taken to school.

Must be the planets or something cuz I've read on several other blogs about people having weird dreams lately. Well, of course, unless one person wrote about having a weird dream and another person read it and decided to blog about their dream that they didn't actually have but needed something to blog about.

Different subject - work today was bearable because my boss was on another island for some meetings. Didn't have to put up with her working in her pajamas until noon, with unbrushed teeth (P.U.) and farting in the office (double P.U.).

I think it was hippie night at the laundromat. 90% of the people there were hippies and boy do they smell. And, man are they dirty.

24 is on now so I think I'll check it out. Last time it was on it was boring. The plot was just not exciting and the relationships between people just weren't happening.

Weird Dream............

I had a weird dream last night. Actually, this morning. Kevin Costner was in it and he was a bad guy. Like trying to kill me bad guy. But I woke up suddenly and very alert from the dream before he could kill me. I wanted to look at the clock and see what time it was but everytime I do that I never can get back to sleep. So I didn't look at the clock and pretty soon my alarm went off and I got up and started my day.........

Weather Report...

It's still raining here.

My Dad's In The Hospital.......

Last week my dad hurt his back lifting something. A few days later as he was trying to get out of bed he fell and banged his head on the closet door. My mom had to ask the neighbors to help lift him up because he couldn't get up as his back was already hurt. She has her own problems and couldn't help him get up. So an ambulance was called and he was taken to the hospital. The cops also showed up as somehow someone (?) thought it was a "domestic". Hah Hah! That's funny.....

Long story short.......he's still in the hospital and now he has a cold. I talked to him tonight and he sounds all stuffed up. And doped up. Now he is on antibiotics in addition to whatever pain meds for his back and valium if he wants it. He didn't have a cold when he went in the hospital. They took an xray today but will not have results until tomorrow. I'm just praying he doesn't get pneumonia. He's supposed to be in the hospital to get better not get worse. He's 82 so I'm praying he improves fast.....

Cravings.........

Anybody know where I can get Li Hing Pistachios?

My mom sent me some once but she doesn't remember where she got them. I've looked all over here and can't find them.

I can probably buy the Li Hing powder and the pistachios and make them myself but I want them already ready to eat.

I just have this craving for them..........

You Should Have Been Here Yesterday........

.........good thing we went to the beach yesterday. Today is overcast and gloomy. I have a hard time getting off my butt and getting outside on days like this. It just seems like there's no reason to leave. Consequently I have been lounging around in my bathrobe all morning. If I'm not headed to the beach then I have to put makeup on to go out. If I don't then I can get by with lipstick and sunglasses. As long as I don't have to take the sunglasses off. Which is kinda hard if you're inside someplace. I just don't like the way I look without makeup. When I was younger it was okay but now that I'm older, well, trust me when I say I look better with makeup. Any my sunglasses are not prescription so kinda hard to read stuff.

I wonder what my neighbor has found to do.....he's come and gone about four times already since 7:30 am this morning.

I'm getting hungry so I'm gonna eat some pizza now.

Hope your Sunday is going well. (Translated - I hope you found something to do outside in the sun!).

Here Comes The Sun.......

....finally the day dawned with blue skies and the sun shining. I think it's been raining for two weeks straight. So we packed the cooler and headed for the beach.....

Only the closer we got the worse it looked. As we hit Lawai and Kalaheo it started to pour. I mean the kind of rain where you turn your lights on and go slow because you can't see the road that well. So we turned around and headed back........

And ended up at Baby Beach. Where it was really sunny with a nice breeze blowing. We worked up quite an appetite sitting in the sun so headed for some fast food and found a place to park where we could eat and watch the Humpbacks spouting and breeching.

The Internet Is Better Than Any Encyclopedia..........

...so I did some research online and found out that the ex-boyfriend, as I suspected, lied about the reason he's in jail. He's in a lot more trouble than he wants me to think he is. His trial starts at the end of May.

Something To Look Forward To....

I just found out there's a new Chucky film in the works "Seed of Chucky" starring Jennifer Tilly set for release in 2005. Woo Hoo! If you've seen this series then you know why I'm excited. They're so bad they're good.........

No beach yesterday. Was overcast all day. At one point it looked promising but got all junk again. I spent most of the day in my bathrobe watching tv. Saw Open Range on pay-per-view with Kevin Costner, Robert Duvall & Annette Bening. Not too bad.......but the beach would have been better.

Today is about the same.....all overcast. But I feel a need to get out of the house. Maybe we'll cruise later.........

Things I Miss From Oahu..........

Huge 4 inch across almond cookies.....

Musubi with ume inside..........

People.........

Night blooming cereus on the Punahou school wall..........

Bear claws from Bakery Kapiolani.........

The food court at Ala Moana Shopping Center........

There's so much I miss (even tho I listed mostly food). Kauai is a beautiful island but it's not my home. And never will be. Oahu is my home, my roots are deep there. And I miss it terribly.

Can you tell I'm feeling homesick?

Kinda, Sorta...

...starting to feel better.

I'm still coughing and my sinuses are backed up and my ears won't pop. But, I am better than I was.

I didn't let it stop me from getting to the beach on Sunday. And good thing. We headed for a beach near home but the weather was sucky so I said to my son "Let's cruise!" and he agreed. So we ended up on the south side and it was incredibly beautiful. The whole 3 hours we were there only one tiny cloud passed over the sun. The water was chilly but we went in anyway.

The Ex-Boyfriend....

...called me last Tuesday night. Wanted me to bail him out of jail. I asked him why he was in jail. He said because of traffic tickets from years ago that he never paid, did community service for or whatever. I told him I didn't have any money.

He called me again this Tuesday night. This time I asked him how much his bail was.......$2,000.00. Now he says he's in jail because he hasn't paid child support (I've known him about 14 years and he's never paid child support).

He said a bunch of stuff to me that he hoped would convince me to bail him out. But I wasn't buying any of it. He's never taken care of his legal problems and now it's come back to bite him on the butt.

As much as I don't like to think about him being in jail I have no intention of bailing him out. And.........I don't have the money.

Even if I did I wouldn't help him anyway. I've helped him plenty in the past and he has never repaid me. He's cheated on me, lied to me and done things I never should have tolerated. I'm older and wiser now.

I'm Playing Hookey From Work.....

I have the kind of cough that makes your eyes get all watery.

Last night I coughed so much my throat hurt from coughing.

My temp was 100.4 degrees last night.

Let's see....sore throat the became dry scratchy throat, runny nose, sneezing, body aches, chills, fever......could it get any worse?

Yes.

It's that time of the month.

Bingo.....some people have all the luck.....

My Throat Hurts.......

...damn, I'm getting sick. Last Friday I felt a little sore spot in my throat. I was fine all weekend. Then today my throat started feeling sore all over. I am so bummed..........I do not want to be sick.

And, I don't want to give it to my son.

I'm also sneezing way more than usual.

Ugh................

Maybe I'm Anal........

...but, does anyone know how to alphabetize the "Favorites" in Internet Explorer?

Because it seems that when I first switched from Earthlink (which automatically alphabetizes favorites/bookmarks) to Road Runner that up to a certain point my Favorites are alphabetized. But then at the end are sites I've added just in the sequence I've added them.

So, anybody, please, is there a way to alphabetize all the Favorites?

It would make things so much easier.

My New Favorite Snack........

Nacho Cheese Corn Nuts.......

The Finger Crossing Failed....

....woke up to rain this morning. And it's been raining all day. The sun is just now beginning to peek through the clouds and I see some blue sky. But it seems too late to go to the beach now. Or I'm just too lazy. And I still have makeup on from running errands this morning and I just want to laze around with the tv on. And eat junk food.

My son bought a dvd today at WalMart. The Fog. I thought this was a movie I had seen as a child (it's from 1979). I keep remembering a movie I saw where at the end of the movie it's all foggy and several people are, I think, sitting in a small boat in the water and they have some kind of fungus growing on them. But The Fog is not that movie. It's actually a good movie with Janet Leigh, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Houseman and Hal Holbrook. I wish I could remember what movie I'm thinking of but all I can remember is the ending and I have no clue who else is in it. Or what the whole plot is. Hey, anyone out there remember a movie like that? Leave me a comment. I'd google it but can't even think what words to enter.

I was thinking of going to the early (cheap) showing of Hidalgo today but I procrastinated long enough and we missed it. I kinda sorta want to see it but not enough I guess to make an effort to actually get there........

Now my son wants to eat french fries so I'm off to turn the oven on and get those started.......and I want a Pepsi.

Did I Tell You About The Time....

I found a bra and a pair of pantyhose in the trashcan outside.

My trashcan.

Outside my house.

And they weren't mine. I haven't worn pantyhose in at least 10 years.

So I made a mental list of the usual suspects. The exboyfriend, the couple living in the studio attached to the back of my house...........the ones who smoke pot in the bathroom with the exhaust fan on. I can tell when they're indulging because they hack their lungs out. And I can smell it. Believe me I know the smell of pot. I've done my share of pot smoking when I was younger. I remember the days we could get elephant from Thailand. Man that was awesome shit. And hashish...........geez I better shutup now.

Exboyfriend claimed it wasn't him. I never did ask the couple since I barely know them.

This happened quite a few months ago. It's been a boring week and I haven't had much to post about. But now I think I might know who it was. Or who it was a friend of. And what jogged my memory was the sound of someone opening my trash can and putting something in it. Someone who is a friend of the couple in the studio. She's been here for the last hour and a half washing her car. Which is another whole issue we won't get into right now.

So I think the mystery is solved. Had to be a friend of the couple. I know, kind of anti-climatic.

In other happenings, my boss at the jewelry store said when funds permit they are going to buy a PC and transfer the software back onto it. And the reason is that the newer version of the accounting software they are currently using on the MAC does not have a payroll module. I couldn't be happier. I hate the MAC. Software functions infinitely better in Windows than it does on the MAC. Yippie!

And last, but not least, it was a beautiful beach day today. The water was a bit cold but was wonderful. And it wasn't too crowded.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow will be just as nice.
